Ham and Eggs with Crusty Bread
Preparation Time: 40 minutes
Product: D’Orsogna ham
Ingredients: (Serves 4-6)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2-3 slices of ham
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon sherry or red wine vinegar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Heat oil in fry pan and fry ham until golden. Sprinkle on sugar and let it caramelise. Add vinegar and
deglaze pan.
Transfer ham and glaze to an oven-proof dish, crack eggs and place on top. Cook until egg whites have set. Season to taste and scatter with parsley. Serve with crusty bread.
