The Western Australian Division of the Australian Olympic & Commonwealth Games Committee hosted a farewell fundraising event for our local athletes heading off to compete as part of the Australian team in the 2018 Commonwealth Games held on the Gold Coast in April.

Our home grown talent represented a variety of sports including swimming, athletics, cycling, hockey, basketball, boxing, diving, netball and shooting.

The opportunity for our athletes to compete at a world class event on home soil was a unique and unforgettable experience and Australia had its most successful Commonwealth Games ever with a team of over 700 athletes winning 198 medals across 17 sports.

The D’Orsogna contribution played an important role in assisting the Western Australian Olympic Council to reach their fundraising target of $100,000.

Well done to our Australian team!

… and bravo to the event organisers and our fellow supporters who came together during the farewell event to support our athletes in achieving their goals!

We are proud of your successes and are pleased we were able to be a part of it.

All the best for preparation towards the 2020 Olympics in Japan!
