Bacon & Cheese Pork Chops

Ingredients

200 g D'Orsogna Streaky Bacon, diced and cooked
6 Bone-in Pork Chops
1 cup Swiss Cheese, shredded
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
2 tbsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper, to taste

Generously season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper, and then set them aside to absorb the flavours.

In a small mixing bowl, combine the olive oil and minced garlic, stirring until they are well blended.

Using a pastry brush, evenly coat the pork chops with the garlic and olive oil mixture, ensuring that each chop is thoroughly covered for maximum flavour.

Place the seasoned pork chops in a preheated oven set to 220°C and bake them for 12 to 15 minutes. Check for doneness, ensuring they are fully cooked and juicy.

Once the pork chops are cooked, carefully remove them from the oven. Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese and cooked bacon bits over the top of each chop. Allow the chops to rest for about 3 minutes; this helps the cheese melt beautifully and enhances the overall flavour.
