Set your oven to 160°C. This gentle heat ensures the ham warms through evenly without drying out.
Place the Premium Cooked on the Bone Leg Ham in a large roasting or baking dish. Add ⅓ cup of water to the bottom of the dish to create a moist cooking environment, which helps keep the ham tender. Cover the ham with aluminium foil.
Place the covered ham in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes. This slow heating allows the flavours to deepen and ensures a juicy result.
While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the jellied cranberry sauce, brown sugar, orange juice, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground cloves. Stir continuously for 3-5 minutes until the mixture becomes bubbly and thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
After 1 hour and 25 minutes, remove the ham from the oven and discard the foil. Pour or brush the cranberry glaze generously over the surface of the ham, ensuring even coverage.
Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 25 minutes. This step caramelizes the glaze, creating a glossy, flavourful coating.
Once done, let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute. Slice thick or thin, depending on your preference, and serve with any remaining glaze on the side.
