Mix together the mince, salt and pepper and shape into 4 x 125gm patties. (Remember that they’ll shrink up a bit when they cook so make them a little bit bigger than the bun you’re using.)
Fry the onion in the oil either in a frying pan or on the BBQ until they are caramelised.
Fry the bacon until crispy and drain on paper towel.
Grill the beef patties on a BBQ until cooked through. Top each pattie with a slice of cheese so it melts.
Spread the burger buns with butter and grill them on a BBQ until crispy.
Spread the bottom halves with mayonnaise and the top halves with tomato sauce.
Layer the tomato slices, beetroot, and lettuce on each base, top with a beef pattie, a spoonful of onions, and a couple of slices of D’Orsogna Premium Middle Bacon.
