Cabanossi Sausage Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

 1 D’Orsogna Traditional Style Cabanossi
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
 1 egg, lightly beaten
 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  cup tomato chutney

Method

1

Preheat your oven to 210 degrees and line a baking tray with baking paper.

2

Take one sheet of the puff pastry on a cutting board, cut the pastry in half down the middle and set one section of the puff pastry aside.

3

On one of the cut sheets of puff pastry, spread the tomato chutney in a strip on the longer edge. Place one of the Cabanossi sticks where you placed the tomato chutney and trim the puff pastry to fit the length of the cabanossi.

4

Next, sprinkle ¼ cup of the grated cheese along the cabanossi, roll up the puff pastry carefully around the sausage and cheese. Brush the lightly beaten egg over the rolled-up pastry, cut it into 4 pieces and place on the baking tray.

5

Repeat with the remainder of the ingredients and then bake for 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden. Serve with Tomato Chutney. Set aside leftovers for the lunchboxes the next day.
