Bacon Asparagus Pastry Twists

Preheat your oven to 200°C.
Next, slice the puff pastry into strips that are around 1cm wide and set aside.
Remove the streaky bacon from the packaging then slice it in half lengthwise to create thin strips.
Take each asparagus spear and wrap a strip of bacon around it in a spiral. Then, loop a strip of puff pastry around the asparagus, weaving it in between the bacon spiral. Repeat this process with the remaining asparagus spears.
Place the wrapped asparagus on a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper.
Brush the spears with egg wash before sprinkling salt, pepper and garlic powder on top.
Bake the asparagus in the oven for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed.
