Bacon Jalapeño Popper Wonton Cups

Ingredients

250 g Cream cheese, softened at room temperature
 200 ml Sour cream
 24 Wonton wrappers
 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
4 Jalapeño, deseeded and finely chopped

Method

1

Preheat your oven to 170°C. While it heats, prepare a 24-hole mini muffin tin by spraying it with cooking oil. Gently press a wonton wrapper into each cavity, ensuring it fits well. Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the wrappers are golden brown.

2

Once the wonton cups are cooked, remove them from the oven and set aside to cool slightly while you prepare the filling. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, D'Orsogna bacon, shredded cheese, and diced jalapeños. Reserve a small amount of the bacon and cheese for garnishing later.

3

Next, spoon the cheese and bacon mixture into each wonton cup, filling them generously. Sprinkle the reserved bacon and cheese on top of the filled cups for added flavor and presentation.

4

Return the filled wonton cups to the oven and bake for approximately 8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Once done, remove them from the oven and serve on a wooden board or platter, ready to delight your guests with these delicious treats!
