Cheesy Bacon No Knead Rolls

Ingredients

 450 g Flour
 350 ml Room temperature water
 200 g Cheddar cheese, grated
 7 g Dry yeast
 1 tbsp Olive oil
 2 tbsp Salt

Method

1

In a large bowl, combine the flour, water, oil, and yeast. Stir until the yeast is well incorporated. Once mixed, add the salt and continue stirring.

2

Use a spatula or wooden spoon to mix the ingredients until they form a sticky, wet dough. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and cover with a damp tea towel. Allow it to rest and rise for about 1 hour. After this, gently stretch the dough with wet hands, fold it onto itself, and let it rise again for 2-3 hours, depending on the room temperature.

3

Once the dough has fully risen, turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll the dough into a log and divide it into 6 equal pieces. Flatten each piece into a disk, then place 1/6 of the cheddar cheese and 1/6 of the cooked bacon in the center of each. Carefully fold the dough back into a ball, sealing the filling inside. Place the dough balls onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle lightly with flour and gently dimple the top of each roll. Allow the dough to rise at room temperature for 30-45 minutes.

4

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Once the oven is hot, place the baking tray in the oven and bake the bread for 30 minutes, or until the loaves are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.

5

Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack at room temperature before serving. Enjoy the freshly baked, cheesy, bacon-filled bread!
